Yew Magician
The Yew is the earthly and sentient expression of the ONE original pre-earthly organism that the earliest cultures referred to as the Tree of Life. The ancient and yet timeless language of the living Yew holds memory and information concerning the pre-earthly origin and spiritual lineage of human beings.

Michael Dunning, Yew Mysteries

The Painting illustrates the Buddhi mudra hand gesture of balancing the water in the body to revise mental clarity. In the other hand he holds a yew berry. The golden hat creates a reception between ley line and human antenna. The owl acts as a guardian and radar.

Orniscopy

"The will, projected from the point between the eyebrows, is known by yogis as the broadcasting apparatus of thought. When the feeling is calmly concentrated on the heart, it acts as a mental radio, and can receive the messages of others from far or near. In telepathy the fine vibrations of thoughts in one person’s mind are transmitted through the subtle vibrations of astral ether and then through the grosser earthly ether, creating electrical waves which, in turn, translate themselves into thought waves in the mind of the other person."

Paramhansa Yogananda 1946

High Priestess and Memory Cup Tarot
“Let my worship be within the heart that rejoices,
for behold, all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals.
Therefore, let there be beauty and strength,
power and compassion, honor and humility,
mirth and reverence within you.”

Hanging Man
written on March 11, 2018 by © Mitchell Pluto.
In Sanskrit the word bindu means point or dot. To manifest this on paper you need a nail, string and pencil.
from "Handicraft For Boys" book, by A. Frederick Collins

No matter the length of string the movement generates a circle. I interpret this exercise in my painting with the string corresponding to Odin hanging from the yew tree ( Yggdrasil, the world tree).  Odin can be 'ascribed' as sharing the meaning with the hanging man archtype of the tarot.

from the Tarot of Marseille

The tree is a living tree, until the wood is sacrificed into a book where the tree remains dead as a page despite holding the the spell of letters that lives in the readers mind. The body of the word or more accurately, add the letter best shaped as a right angle to the word-word and the mutation becomes worLd..a much larger assembly of symbols exemplify a circumference or mandala-as a shape that best represents the a story of a planet.

Ansuz Rune. for educational purpose

The inspirational oracle rune, Ansuz. suggests 'where the tide meets the stream'. Water as consciousness and the power of the word. With capacity that can generate thoughts into branches..

Below the branches dwell the Norns, also referred to as the wyrd who direct the connections of time with chance, effect and outcomes. The women are often shown weaving the theme of the story as a web or quilt.  The women and men are mere action words and threads in the story.

Universal example of Norns.  John Thomas Biggers, Starry Crown, 1987, acrylic and mixed media on masonite

Odin stories aside from being very well worth reading are to long to retell here. As illustrated in the painting, Odin does self-sacrifice himself to himself (eye or an i) to the tree to find the secret power and entrance(en trance) into words.

Green Man

"May I make my fond excuses for the lateness of the hour,
but we accept your invitation, and we bring you Beltane's flower.
For the May Day is the great day, sung along the old straight track.
And those who ancient lines did lay will heed the song that calls them back.
Pass the word and pass the lady, pass the plate to all who hunger.
Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder.
Ask the green man where he comes from, ask the cup that fills with red.
Ask the old grey standing stones that show the sun its way to bed.
Question all as to their ways, and learn the secrets that they hold.
Walk the lines of nature's palm crossed with silver and with gold.
Pass the cup and pass the lady, pass the plate to all who hunger.
Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder.
Join in black December's sadness, lie in August's welcome corn.
Stir the cup that's ever-filling with the blood of all that's born.
But the May Day is the great day, sung along the old straight track.
And those who ancient lines did lay will heed this song that calls them back.
Pass the word and pass the lady, pass the plate to all who hunger.
Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder."

A hynagogic vision I had before going to sleep. The painting is unfortunately rudimentary. Every facet of this beings body was kinetic and colorful. I have a strong speculation that this is a condition everyone can look forward to.
